Vernissage da Regina Schneider

Regina Schneider was born in 1974 in Alsace, France, a region close to Switzerland and Germany.
In her very early adolescence she began to draw in pencil the faces of women while surrounding herself with music. Writing poems and reading are some of her favorite hobbies.

Regina graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Applied Foreign Languages and Literature in 1996, the same year she got married. A year later she gave birth to her daughter and three years later to her son. She spent most of her time raising her children at home while working on old drawings turning them into small paintings. As the time went by, she started painting from pictures, mostly landscapes and also abstracts which reveal her talent in the field of painting. Over the years she started to develop her own style.

2006 is a year of commencement, where all her inspiration began to take place. At the beginning it was more a desire of creativity to do something for herself. Regina experiences and appreciates the game between the brush, the filling knife, the paint and the canvas. Little by little painting became a passion. She developed new techniques mixing the paint with collage. She was looking for something new, something even more personal. With gesso, some other materials and tools she tried to bring some relief and more depth to her paintings. Her artwork became bolder.

In 2011, she moved to Miami with her family. Inspired by this incredible city, Regina’s artwork became figurative, glamorous and sensual. Her paintings are more impulsive, spontaneous, and genuine reflecting her own emotions and feelings. Full of sensitivity with an explosion of colors, the woman is often around her paintings with a particular fascination for Marilyn and a taste for large canvas.

Her pieces are mostly owned in some private collections in Europe and United States.
