Come See Ginger and Aku at Wild Arctic
Your favorite walrus calves have officially made their public debut at SeaWorld Orlando! Beginning today, you can see Ginger and Aku play, swim and splash alongside harbor seals right here at Wild Arctic.
You might recall, the two calves were introduced to each other last month after Aku was rescued from a gold mining dredge off the coast of Alaska. Ginger was born at SeaWorld Orlando this past June.
The two animals have been socializing together over the past several weeks as we prepped their new home at Wild Arctic. The revamped space will allow you to see Ginger and Aku from multiple angles both above and below water.
Throughout the day you will have the opportunity to watch Ginger and Aku socialize, play with some of their toys, interact with our team and listen in on a trainer talk.
The walrus species is facing significant threats in the wild, we truly hope the opportunity to see Ginger and Aku at Wild Arctic will inspire everyone to learn more about these incredible animals, the plight of walruses in the wild and what we can all do to help.
